The Awards

Champions Cup – This award is decided by points accumulated during W1 and W6 events at the regional sprint regatta.  The first 3 finishers in all races are given points (1st = 3pts, 2nd = 2pts, 3rd = 1pt).

Pou o Te Puku – the club, person or group who goes above and beyond participation in the Regional and National sprint events.  This award is not based around points and results, it is awarded to the club, person or group who have made such an impression that their waka whanau have nominated them.  Pou o Te Puku recognises character and behaviours on and off the water, and how Te Puku o Te Ika is represented. First awarded in 2018.
