New Kahui Board Members Elected April 2025

TPOTI is undergoing a Governance transition. Clubs within our region, have voted, and the following people have been elected as Kahui Representatives:
  • Kahui Tahi:  Delwynne Hahunga
  • Kahui Rua:  Rangipehi Honey
  • Kahui Toru:  Hiria Rolleston
  • Kahui Wha:  Heeni Hope
​The Board is looking forward to working with the Clubs in their respective Kahui.

On the weekend at the TPOTI AGM the Champions Cup and Pou o Te Puku were awarded for the 2018 Regionals

Champions Cup 2018
Hei Matau Paddlers
This award is decided by points accumulated during W1 and W6 events at the regional sprint regatta.  The first 3 finishers in all races are given points (1st = 3pts, 2nd = 2pts, 3rd = 1pt). ​

Pou o Te Puku 2018
Taranaki Outrigger Canoe Club
This taonga is awarded to the club, person or group who goes above and beyond participation in the Regional and National sprint events.  This award is not based around points and results, it is awarded to the club, person or group who have made such an impression that their waka whanau have nominated them.  Pou o Te Puku recognises character and behaviours on and off the water, and how Te Puku o Te Ika is represented. First awarded for 2018
